Tech, Media, Telecom Investment (TMT) Analyst at FiscalNote
Washington, DC, US
FiscalNote Markets seeks an experienced technology, media, and telecommunications policy analyst to direct the firm’s introduction of a TMT sector-focused research practice. An ideal candidate will have substantial experience with state or federal TMT policy, a fluency with key political and market-driven sector themes, and the ability to translate complex and nuanced concepts into clear, actionable ideas. Our clients are large, institutional investors, and an analyst must successfully chart a course between policy and markets – understanding what policy shifts may ultimately affect companies, and helping investors be predictive about metastasizing political, regulatory, or litigation catalysts. However, not all investors approach problems in similar ways – FN Markets seeks a candidate with an interest in markets and the desire to understand how themes impact investors across asset classes.

Key themes impacting markets today include the build out of 5G infrastructure, broadband and spectrum auctions, and federal and state privacy rules, and anti-trust policy. We see an opportunity for a motivated, knowledgeable individual to help investors cut through the noise and make smarter decisions across these themes. FN Market’s existing client base and research process and infrastructure help guide the analyst towards the topics and themes of greatest value to investors. You will be the face of our TMT practice, and, as with any start up, it’s a big job.
