About the Position
With the mind of an engineer and the passion for policy, FiscalNote is seeking an individual who is looking to blend governance and technology at the services level. You will be taking on projects that provide clients with the kinds of tailored deliverables capable of complementing our cutting-edge product suite. You will also be building out some of those solutions; partnering closely with Engineering and Product to create new workflows and processes that will keep the Professional Services team a step ahead of client needs.
 
Everyday will provide you the opportunity to solve a different problem, whether on the engineering front, product front, or account management. You need to have a keen attention to detail, the ability to swim in ambiguity, and distill complex problems into simple solutions.
 
You Will
- Create innovative solutions to pain points by putting yourself in our clients shoes
- Simultaneously execute on multiple projects in a timely manner and with great attention to detail
- Actively collaborate across all teams and unify messages to the end user
 
Roughly what you can expect as a Technical Associate Consultant
- 15% Solution Scoping
- 15% Client Facing
- 30% Go-to-Market Initiatives
- 40% Technical Delivery (Python based programming, SQL, Github)
 
About You
Your versatile skill set helps you explore the political world from a multitude of perspectives -- while simultaneously spearheading a wide array of projects. Crafting innovative solutions to stamp out longstanding problems -- that’s the stuff that gets you out of bed in the morning.
You are insanely curious with an eagerness to augment and supplement what you know now while constantly preparing for the future. You’re a born communicator, with an incredible ability to take highly complex issues and convert them into digestible, actionable items.  
 
You Have
- A bachelor’s degree in political science, government, economics or Computer Science
- High-performance record of managing multiple projects
- Basic knowledge of Python
- Understanding of SQL or similar languages
- Strong written and verbal communication abilities
- Exceptional organizational skills
- Experience explaining complex government documents and procedures (Preferred)
- 1-2 years of relevant professional experience in research, government, and/or consulting preferred
- Experience with Amazon Web Services or other cloud-based databases (Bonus points)
