To support our company’s rapid growth, we are hiring a  Junior Investment Analyst who will support the Investments Team for the CrowdStreet marketplace. You will use your financial and commercial real estate (“CRE”) experience to review potential investment offerings and prepare content for the launch of new investment offerings on the CrowdStreet marketplace. In this role, you will collaborate with the Investment Managers, Real Estate Analysts and members of the broader Investments Team.

 What You Will Be Doing:

  • Assisting the Investment Managers with the review of offering and related due diligence, as well as, communication with Sponsors and investors

  • Leading the collection of due diligence materials for each offering

  • Assisting the Investment Manager in reviewing and managing due diligence documents throughout the screening and production process

  • Performing Sponsor due diligence, including background checks (CLEAR Reports), reference checks, verifying Sponsor track record and other ad hoc assignments

  • Analyzing real estate financial models, including review of  cash flow projections, valuation models and creating sensitivity analysis with minimal supervision

  • Reading and reviewing real estate documents, including operating agreements, private placement memorandums, appraisals, leases, and third-party reports

  • Developing content to describe real estate offerings and deal terms to potential investors

  • Gathering and evaluating economic, demographic and real estate market data

  • Drafting and publishing offering updates

  • Ensuring offering accuracy

  • Communicating with internal team members and external clients, consultants, and relationships

 

What We Must Have

  • Bachelor’s level degree (real estate, finance or business administration)

  • Up to two years of experience working in a related field such as CRE brokerage, private equity, or capital markets

  • Knowledge of analytics and qualitative factors crucial to CRE analysis are imperative and the candidate must be able to review models conceptually and participate in the review of partnership documents

  • Proven ability to take on multiple responsibilities and prioritize tasks based on current workflow, while being self-directed to actively seek out information and resources to complete assignments effectively and efficiently

  • Experience working as part of a diverse team to collaboratively achieve bold project objectives with a willingness to learn and be a great teammate

  • Strong verbal and written communication skills, attention to detail, organization, and process

  • Proficiency in Microsoft Office, including Word and Excel

 

Not Required, But Nice to Have

  • Will consider candidates with no work experience that obtained a master’s or undergraduate degree with a CRE focus

  • Experience underwriting office, retail, industrial, hospitality, and multifamily investments for both existing assets and development opportunities

  • Proficiency in reviewing financial models for CRE projects of all types

  • Experience with Argus, CoStar, Real Capital Analytics, or other CRE software programs

  • Understanding of the real estate capital raising process, including knowledge of Regulation D offerings, such as 506 (b) and 506 (c).
