Pre-Sales Solutions Engineer (PSE) at Cloud Lending Solutions

Position Overview:
Cloud Lending Solutions, a rapidly growing start-up and a leader in cloud-based lending technology, is seeking an experienced pre-sales engineer to support sales productivity and deal flow by securing the “technical close” in complex solutions. The PSE collaborates with sales, service, engineering, and technical support resources to ensure proposed deals include technical solutions that accurately address customer needs, and are appropriately supported by key customer technical decision-makers.
Reporting to the Director of Pre-Sales and working closely with Sales and Engineering, the PSE will be a key to closing deals and directly affecting company’s top line revenue growth.

Responsibilities
Responsible for development and delivery of product demonstrations
Responsible for representing the product to customers and at field events such as conferences, seminars, etc.
Able to respond to functional and technical elements of RFIs/RFPs
Able to convey customer requirements to Product Management teams
Works assigned deals, prioritizing effort based on maximizing total impact on team productivity and profit, or as directed by the sales manager.
Proactively scopes the technical solution required to address customer requirements, assesses customers’ met and unmet needs, and recommends solutions that optimize value for both the customer and the firm.
Coordinates closely with internal sales, sales support, and service resources to align solution design with customers’ business requirements.
Provides coaching and professional development to team member in direct sales in order to enhance their product knowledge, technical acumen, and technical sales skills.
Opportunistically pursues additional business development opportunities within customer firms.

Requirements
MS or BS in engineering from an accredited institution
Minimum six years of sales or sales engineering experience in a business-to-business segment.
Experience with technologies which deliver to and/or support the lending or leasing process including the lifecycle of origination, underwriting, servicing & collection.
Experience with Cloud technologies. Working knowledge of Web 2.0 development platform, solutions, and related technologies.
Web application development and integration experience (REST, SOAP, J2EE, CGI/Java/ASP servlets, Python) is a plus.
Ability to quickly learn, understand, and work with new emerging technologies, methodologies, and solutions in the Cloud/IT Technology space.
Hands on experience in SFDC technologies such as Apex and Visualforce development is a major plus.
Demonstrated ability to work in fast-paced, dynamic work environment while managing multiple projects.
Demonstrated ability to work collaboratively combined with the ability to make decisions independently.
Excellent verbal, presentation and written communication skills.
