Senior Manager, Total Rewards at FiscalNote

As Senior Manager of Total Rewards you will partner with VP of People and key stakeholders to shape and implement Total Rewards strategies for a growing, dynamic, values-driven organization.  You’ll own and drive sound execution of core HR practices. Proactively collaborate and liaison with other leaders, partners, and employees. 
 
Total Rewards (Benefits & Compensation)
Help shape Total Rewards Strategy. Own and execute full suite of employee benefits including traditional and non-traditional benefits and perks. Identify new areas, or better ways, provide a value-add to FN employees, communicate and educate FN teams, and execute seamlessly.  A well defined and articulated total rewards strategy is essential to attracting and retaining the very best talent. 
- You’ll seek to educate and evangelize. From how to navigate benefits, life events, to creating  health and financial wellness roadmap that empowers team members
- Evaluate benefit offerings, offer ideas, conduct research and lead transitions 
- Manage the benefits selection process with our brokers / internal budgeting & facilitate decision making.- Collaborate with vendors, partners, and providers for planning and execution
- Administrator and support 401(k), health insurance, dental, vision, life, including open enrollment including HSAs, FSAs, etc.- Manage COBRA and transit vendors, leave programs, and lead wellness efforts- Act as a primary liaison with Finance and Payroll 
- Manage, support, inform, implement sound practices associate with compensation including for example, salaries, hourly, variable including bonus and/or commission. Experience with equity is desirable.
- Conduct salary and market analysis and help shape/carry out compensation philosophy and structure
 
 
Records, Reporting and Analysis
- Ensure compliance and reporting on all requirements including for example AAP, EEO, VETS, ACA, 5500, FLSA, etc.
- Oversee maintenance of all employee/employer related records including for example I-9s, eVerfications, background checks, employment verifications, visas, etc. 
- Regularly report on key People & Org metrics, seeking both leading and lagging data and insights that help inform leaders and teams
- Autonomously, and in partnership with others, build out, configure and optimize workflows and systems to achieve key business needs
- Support M&A activities by participating in due diligence, integration planning, and implementation
 
You Have:
- Worked 8+ years in human resources/people operations at a high-growth, dynamic organization - ideally experience at various stage organizations (start up, midsize, public/private)
- Broad exposure across HR arenas with deep expertise in total rewards is required: health benefits, 401k, reporting & records, and HR systems. Job analysis and compensation analysis highly desirable
- Appreciation for bigger picture, strategic thinking coupled with a practical, hands-on approach
- Passionate about being an employer of choice, leading by example, and living the FiscalNote Values- Critical thinker, keen problem solver, metrics-minded, and a highly organized program and project manager with a passion for scalable workflows and business processes (BP’s)- Experience managing and leading others, providing coaching and guidance  
- A strong track record of creating and delivering content that is informative and engaging and delivered across different channels and formats (email, powerpoint, intranet, virtual meetings, workshops, team building, town halls, etc.)
- Team player, hands-on and strategic, willing and able to jump in and help the cause- Keen ability to be an effective relationship-builder, a creative, collaborative and flexible work ethos, mission-focused, solutions-oriented,  with a passion for continuous improvement
- Very tech-savvy. A power-user of platforms and systems (HRIS required, also:  LMS, ATS, survey, intranets,etc desirable), with great attention to detail, understanding of data-flow, and system architecture. UltiPro experience is strongly preferred
- Experience supporting a multi-site organization. International experience is desirable.
- Demonstrated passion and commitment to talent; certifications are a plus (PHR, CCP, CEBS, etc.), professional membership is a plus (World at Work, SHRM, ATD, etc.)

**This role will require occasional travel.**
