About the Role

We are looking for a Real Estate Investment Analyst reporting to the Director of Asset Management who would like to leverage your expertise and passion in Real Estate Financial Analysis to help our organization grow to the next level. As Real Estate Investment Analyst, you will be responsible for monitoring, analyzing, and reporting performance of CrowdStreet marketplace offerings. 

What you’ll be doing:

  • Perform complex financial analyses, including projections and sensitivity analyses.

  • Gather and evaluate real estate markets data drawing out salient points from your analysis.

  • Perform monthly/quarterly, real estate, property-level, portfolio-level, and market-level qualitative and quantitative analysis; including financial statements, comparing actual to budget/pro-forma performance. Follow-up on offerings that require deeper analysis and evaluation.

  • Collaborate with internal teams, maintaining, updating, and reporting asset and portfolio performance.

  • Prepare additional periodic reports including summaries, trends analysis, property/portfolio/markets comparisons, year-over-year analysis, and benchmark to industry sources and market data.

  • Deliver key feedback on performance to the Investments Team to improve deal screening process in addition to finding efficient and automated means of reporting.

  • Synthesize sponsor reporting and findings to create transparent, clear, and timely written reports and presentations for internal stakeholders and periodically to the Board of Directors.

  • Work in a high-volume, fast-paced environment.

What we must have:

  • Bachelor’s degree in Business, Finance, or business-related field.

  • 2+ years of commercial real estate analytical experience. Acquisitions or asset management experience is highly valued.

  • Capacity to understand complex financial structures, synthesize findings, and report.

  • Experience with commercial real estate and investment portfolio modeling and analytical skills.

  • Strong attention to detail and knowledge of finance concepts and processes.

  • Ability to use independent judgment, discretion, and maintain confidentiality.

  • Ability to work and interact in a fast-paced environment with competing priorities yet still able to maintain attention to detail and accuracy.

What is nice to have:

  • Experience sourcing, structuring, and closing institutional real estate transactions

  • Experience in real estate capital markets.

  • MBA, MRED, or other advanced degrees.
