Job brief

We created the Buy Now - Pay Later vertical back in 2015 when everyone was stuck with wallets,
and now we’re on a mission to scale the merchant-first, consumer-centric experience stack to the
businesses and to the next billion users.
As a Business Development Intern at Simpl, you will drive Simpl’s future growth engine by building
relationships with prospective clients and turning them into happy Simpl partners.
You are an adept salesperson, capable of engaging in business-level and technical conversations at
multiple levels of the organization, including the CTO, COO, and CFO.
You have an in-depth understanding of the buyer journey and can lead a complex, multi-party
partnership in a highly consultative manner.
You are used to building value in competitive situations and enjoy working on products that require
deep product understanding, combined with technical knowledge.
You are naturally analytical and enjoy digging into business models and helping customers quantify
their resource allocation decisions.
You get excited about prospecting and are capable of independently leading a partnership cycle
from start to finish.
Finally, you enjoy building – you like to actively participate in the development of our partnership
process, the articulation of our value proposition, and the creation of key tools and assets.

Responsibilities
• Stay on top of market dynamics
• Building Leads Pipeline
• Qualifying leads from the pipeline and converting them into partnership opportunities
• Contact potential clients through cold calls and emails
• Identify client needs and suggest appropriate solutions
• Build long-term trusting relationships with partners
• Set up meetings or calls between (prospective) partners

Requirements
• Hands-on experience with multiple partnership techniques (including cold calls)
• Track record of achieving partnership goals
• Familiarity with MS Excel
• Fluency in English and Polish (ability to manage complex negotiation process)
• Ability to work in a fast moving x-functional environment
• Availability to travel extensively for the business
• Ability to deliver engaging presentations
