For every company we launch on Wefunder, hundreds of questions get asked about how things work. And who is the person on the front-lines answering them? Hopefully, you!


Our dream candidate is a quick learner and truly enjoys helping people – even when they have silly questions or demands. In other words, we're looking for someone with a big heart, patience, and a sponge-like ability to learn hundreds of details.

The details are important. Not only are the laws and regulations complex, but we have a high moral standard to ensure that investors and founders both know what they are getting into. Every time you help someone, you'll be representing the entire Wefunder team. That's a lot of trust.

You should be a "doer" that enjoys the nature of the work itself, but also interested in managing other support hires as Wefunder grows. Ideally, you have the ability to scale yourself with Wefunder.


You'll be on the person on the front-lines, handing dozens of inbound customer support requests per day.

  • Email support. We receive dozens of questions every day that all need to be addressed within 24 hours.
  • Phone support. An ability to talk confidently on the phone is crucial. You are often the only voice investors hear at Wefunder - the voice that keeps all their money safe.
  • Explain complicated security terms. Financing terms are difficult to understand, and it's our responsibility to help investors understand what it means for them.
  • Technical Support. You'll need to provide easy-to-follow instructions for complicated tasks. Or, be patient and friendly while explaining simple tasks. Users have a wide range of needs and technical ability, so you'll need to adapt accordingly.
  • Payment tracking and updates. "Where's my money? Is my investment confirmed?" Investors always - rightfully - wonder what the status of their payments is. You need to collect the information needed to answer their requests and figure out when you need to escalate the matter to resolve it.
  • Watch out for quality leads. Some of our best-performing companies come to us by first e-mailing the support desk. We need to make sure they get amazing support from their very first contact with us – that's you!
  • Communicate user feedback. You'll receive hundreds of user requests and suggestions for the Wefunder site. We want to fix these problems! Pull together all relevant user feedback so the product team can easily prioritize their to do list.


We're more concerned with your drive and hunger than your experience. We invest in potential. If you are a quick learner and super-motivated, we'll help teach you.

Here are some skills we think are important:

  • Organization and attention to detail. It's important that no balls get dropped when dealing with dozens of customer requests.
  • Strong people skills. You should have a talent for making people feel instantly comfortable, heard, and understood.
  • Independent problem solver. We want someone who's able to tackle difficult problems on their own and proactively looks for new ways to improve Wefunder. In other words, you can just figure it out.
  • Prioritize efficiently. You'll be juggling a thousand things at once. Be able to recognize which tasks are most important and get those done.
  • Learn quickly. There are tons of details to learn; securities regulations are quite complex and things change fast around here. You must be able to absorb and retain a lot of facts quickly; we don't like answering the same question three times and it's up to you to seek out information if you need it.
  • Responsible & accountable. If you say you will do it, you do it.
